| The basis for BlueTec® is the modified engine. Its increased peak pressure improves combustion and thus reduces fuel consumption and particulate levels. When the exhaust gas leaves the engine, AdBlue comes into play, converting the toxic nitrogen oxides in the SCR catalytic converter into harmless substances: nitrogen and water. On-Board Diagnostics monitors the entire process throughout. |
