Atego. Frame

Atego. Frame

The Atego frame was specially designed with distribution work in mind. A special feature is its two-piece construction. The front part consists of two downwards-sloping longitudinal members with a Z-profile, which means that the front part can be lowered. This gives the Atego up to 10.5 t and the 12-t LF* Atego a low, single-step cab entrance. The Z-shape also allows more room for attaching components. It goes without saying that the frame is also extremely strong: no reinforcements or extra frames are required for the addition of a tail lift (with a load-bearing capacity of up to 1.5 t).

In addition, this frame offers the best protection against rust: holes. Together with cathodic dip priming, they protect the Atego frame against corrosion to optimum effect. Thanks to the 50-mm hole pattern, no further drilling is necessary when mounting bodies and other units, such as tanks, exhausts and batteries. Bodies can therefore be preassembled and fitted in next to no time, which means that the time the vehicle has to be off the road at the body manufacturer’s is reduced and the frame’s corrosion protection is not damaged, all of which makes for a long truck service life.
