Its elegance is surpassed only by its safety: the new representative vehicle for state occasions S 600 Pullman Guard with integrated highest protection is based on the long version of the S 600 but with a significantly lengthened wheelbase and a higher roof. Its generous pullman format offers high-ranking passengers a comfortable amount of space, including a fully equipped mobile office.
The cultivated power of a diesel engine is available for the first time in an armoured luxury saloon of an ex-factory manufacturer – in the S 420 CDI Guard. The vehicle celebrated its world premiere at the IAA 2007 in Frankfurt. The cutting-edge V8 CDI engine lends the S 420 CDI Guard excellent performance with favourable fuel consumption – despite the significant weight increase from the base model. With both new Guard saloons of the S-Class, Mercedes-Benz is continuing in full force with around 80 years of unbroken tradition in developing special protection vehicles with the most state-of-the-art innovations.
