Whether radio, CD player, DVD player, navigation system or telephone – with the optional COMAND APS multimedia system it is quite simple to control all the components centrally, even by voice control if you wish – thanks to the integral LINGUATRONIC voice-operated control system, whose expanded voice control function provides for even greater ease of operation.

And by the way, navigation with COMAND APS and the Audio 50 APS, both optional, has been improved even further: thanks to the exclusive use of DVD (Audio 50 APS) or hard disk memory (COMAND APS), greater amounts of navigation data can be stored and processed much more rapidly than is possible in systems using CD-ROMs. Dynamic route guidance is a special navigation service which, with the help of the radio data system, can even guide you around tailbacks if there is an alternative route. The practical trip computer integrated in the instrument cluster allows you to obtain an overview of relevant data such as the average fuel consumption or the distance travelled.

In addition, the optional audio and telematics devices for the B-Class feature Bluetooth[1] and an Aux-in connection in the glove compartment for easily connecting external audio sources. You can connect an MP3 player, for instance an iPod, or an external hard disk to the optional media interface (for optimum sound quality the music files should have a data rate of at least 128 kbit/s) and operate it using the audio device.

The optional Harman Kardon® Logic 7® surround sound system brings superb sound quality to your B-Class. The 450-watt DSP amplifier, twelve high-performance loudspeakers and the discrete Logic 7® multi-channel stereo technology provide you with a unique music experience, whatever you are listening to and wherever you are sitting. You can play the stereo as well as recordings in 5.1 format in full sound quality, for example in Dolby Digital 5.1 (in conjunction with COMAND). You also get digital audio transmission via the MOST interface and speed-sensitive volume adjustment (GAL).
