With the M-Class you will stay on the right track: the standard-fit ESP®/4ETS dynamic handling control system helps you on and off the road, intervening in potentially-critical situations, for example by selectively braking individual wheels to stabilise the vehicle. For additional active safety, the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and acceleration skid control (ASR) are integrated into the ESP®/4ETS setup.

If your M-Class is fitted with the Active Light System, available as an option, the bi-xenon headlamps follow your steering movements. This improves illumination on bends substantially, allowing you to see the course of the bend and any obstacles at an earlier stage.
