The V6 CDI diesel engines in the R 280 CDI[1] and in the 320 CDI 4MATIC will impress you with their extraordinarily smooth operation and enormous torque: 440 or 510 Newton metres provide more than enough power reserves even at low engine speeds. The R 280 CDI[1] generates 140 kW (190 hp), the R 320 CDI 4MATIC 165 kW (224 hp). High performance teams up with low fuel consumption and low pollutant emissions in both these engines. As standard you receive a diesel particulate filter, which manages without fuel additives. The result is high performance but low CO2 emissions. Up to 95% of the soot particles can be removed from the exhaust gas.
