Cab safety includes clear-lens headlamps which are optimally aligned for extremely wide road illumination. Bi-xenon headlamps are also available as an option with a range of 65 m for low-beam headlamps and a range of 180 m for the main beams. The optionally available rain and light sensor automatically activates the wipers in five individually adjustable stages when it rains, and switches on the headlamps when darkness begins to fall. Visibility is further improved at the front and rear by the standard-specification heated front-view mirror, which gives the driver an excellent view of the area directly in front of the cab, and the large, heated exterior rear-view mirrors, the heating function of which can be switched on and off manually.
For the drive's safety there is an optional driver airbag available in connection with a belt tensioner.
